We prepare assessment of effects required to be included in resource consent applications and which can include technical input from Engineers, Landscape Architects, Ecologists, Land Surveyors and other experts. We ensure that applications include the required assessments are provided and that legislative requirements are satisfied including providing mitigation measures where required.
For Requiring Authorities, we assist in the preparation of Notice of Requirements for new designations and Outline Plans for works within these sites. We ensure that these applications satisfy the respective legislative requirements and include the necessary supporting technical information.
For planning applications which are required to be publicly or limited notified we can assist in the preparation of submissions ensuring that the submission is reflective of the identified concerns (or support), focus on relevant resource management matters, and ensure that such matters are fully considered by the decision makers. We can present this submission at any hearing that may be required to determine the outcome of the application.
We can prepare private plan change requests to district or regional plans. Plan changes require extensive assessments to be completed and includes coordination of technical supporting reports.
Where you may be affected by any proposed plan change we can assist you in preparing a submission reflective of your concerns and support and can include representation at any hearing which may be required.
We assist with identifying sites which are suitable for your proposed development. This provide clear guidance and details planning implications for the site. This is important to ensure the right site is identified for the proposed development.
We provide detailed reports which identify opportunities for the identified site. These reports identify strengths and weaknesses for the site and enable the prospective purchaser to determine if this is right for them. The scope can vary from a standard residential dwelling to significant development.

Where a client has made submissions to a resource consent or plan change process we can provide the necessary detailed evidence required for the Council hearing process and Environment Court.
We have a team member who has completed the “Making Good Decisions” programme and is an accredited independent RMA Planning Commissioner who can sit In a panel hearing process.
